Safeguarding Statement

Our Commitment to Safeguarding and Staff Training

At Aykon CYP Services, Safeguarding is fundamental to our work and  the safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority. We have robust safeguarding policies and practices in place to ensure every child is protected from harm.

-First Aid and Medication Administration

-Health and Safety

-Manual Handling and Specialist Equipment Use

  • All staff undergo enhanced DBS checks before starting employment.
  • Each home has a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) responsible for ensuring procedures are followed at all times.
  • We work in partnership with local safeguarding boards, Ofsted and statutory agencies to ensure best practice.

All staff are rigorously vetted and receive extensive training to ensure the highest care and protection standards.


Continuous professional development is encouraged through refresher training, mentoring, and supervision, helping staff stay at the forefront of best practice. Staff are also supported to pursue further qualifications and specialist training relevant to the evolving needs of our children.

We encourage an open culture where children, families, and professionals feel safe to raise concerns.
